A bold, purpose-driven event website built for India's one-of-a-kind sustainability hackathon, designed to inspire, engage, and mobilise the next generation of green innovators.
Sustainovation is not just an event, it's a movement. A first-of-its-kind 30-hour hackathon laser-focused on real-world ESG solutions, bringing together students, startups, eco enthusiasts, and tech innovators under one roof to tackle some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time, across Soil, Clean Water, and Energy tracks. With Amity University as the venue, GAIL as an Energy Partner, and the patronage of India's Honourable Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav, Sustainovation had the credibility, the mission, and the momentum. What it needed was a digital platform powerful enough to match its ambition.
We began by understanding the unique nature of Sustainovation's audience, a diverse mix of college students hungry for impact, early-stage startups with bold ideas, sustainability advocates, and corporate partners looking to engage with the next wave of green innovation. Building a website that spoke meaningfully to all of them, while maintaining a consistent, energetic brand voice, required careful thought and deliberate design.
We designed a dynamic, high-energy event website that captured the urgency and excitement of the Sustainovation mission from the very first scroll. Bold visuals, clear messaging, and a compelling narrative structure worked together to communicate the scale and significance of the hackathon instantly, making every visitor feel that this was something they couldn't afford to miss. The brand tagline "Innovate. Solve. Sustain." was woven throughout the design as a rallying call, setting the tone for everything that followed.
The website was designed to guide different types of visitors through their own natural journey. Students and first-time visitors were drawn in by the energy of the event, the rewards on offer, including a ₹1,00,000 first prize, incubation opportunities, and mentorship, and the clear, step-by-step registration process that made participation feel accessible and exciting. Partners and institutional visitors found the credibility signals they needed, prominent placement of impact, knowledge, radio, and energy partners, alongside the ministerial association that underscored the national significance of the initiative.
The problem statements section gave each challenge track, Soil, Clean Water, and Energy, its own dedicated, well-presented space, helping participants connect quickly with the track most relevant to their expertise and passion. A clearly structured timeline of important dates, a transparent shortlisting process, and a detailed FAQ section ensured that no question went unanswered and no potential participant was left uncertain about the next step.
A rich gallery section, featuring photos and videos from Sustainovation 2025, brought the event to life for first-time visitors, giving them a vivid, real feel for the energy, collaboration, and impact that the hackathon creates. This social proof was one of the most powerful conversion tools on the entire website, turning curious browsers into confident registrants.
The result was a digital platform as bold, purposeful, and forward-thinking as the mission it represented, one that didn't just inform visitors about Sustainovation, but inspired them to be part of it.
